CHILD WELFARE

Children

Children constitute about 39% of India’s total population. Many children are denied access to resources such as education and health care that allow them to grow and develop in healthy, necessary ways. While India’s child mortality has decreased in the last decade, children are still negatively affected by social and economic factors such as low school attendance, child marriage, malnutrition, poverty, and limited access to clean water and health care.

How We Help

Support the physical, emotional, and educational needs of children:

This includes providing nutritious meals and ensuring that children can regularly access high quality healthcare. In addition, children’s emotional and spiritual development is guided through mentorship and afterschool programs. These programs also provide children with much needed educational supplies such as books, uniforms, and notebooks.

Ultimately, we hope that Life International will instill children with a strong sense of their own agency, equipping them with the leadership and technical skills needed to build a bright future for themselves and their families.
